As part of my role as Cultural Development Officer at Nottingham City Council, I managed the programme for Nottingham Light Night in February 2020, which included fundraising, commissioning artists, community and partnership engagement, collating all copy and images for marketing, evaluationand a general strategic overview of the event.
The major theme for the 2020 event was ‘Life on Earth’, which was interpreted across Humanity and Society, Nature and Animals, Environment and Sustainability, Our Green City, and Science and Philosophy. There were over 80 light installations, performances and opportunities to participate.
Major commissions for Light Night 2020 included:

- An augmented reality trail across the City working with local tech company Hot Knife and artist Jason Wilsher-Mills, with physical artwork and accompanying app

Further commissions and activity included:
- Eleven smaller scale commissions focusing on projects that have a longer-term impact and can go on to tour beyond Nottingham
